Get to Know Me

My name is Alejandra Arcila, Ally for short.  Since 2010 and after many years in communications and journalism, I decided to dedicate my life to animals.  What a career change!!  I was scared but excited too.  I started taking various certificates in Animal Studies and then found a full time job in a recognised animal welfare institution where I learned the many aspects around the management of animals from the welfare point of view.  In the meantime I started my life in grooming so I mixed both fields during 3 years.  Then I went into grooming full time.  I realised that I wasn't wrong about wanting to change my career path. I enjoy it so much and I'm always keen to learn every day about handling and using my skills for the best outcome during my appointments with my furry friends.  I keep updating my knowledge assisting to seminars, courses and competitions, being part of groomers groups and associations from all around the world and immersing myself in this world to be always prepared for what my job brings.  I approach it always with kindness, patience, passion, eagerness, love, professionalism and respect.  I put emphasis in welfare before vanity, and that's paramount.  Animals are the reason I live and I want to reflect this every day.  I welcome you and your pets to my world where I am always happy to love them and respect them as my own.
